Special Risk Consultants specializes exclusively in the design and management of insurance and financial products for college students. We cater to a clientele of colleges and universities in the mid-Atlantic region. We hold appropriate broker and agent licenses (life, accident, health, property & casualty, and investment) in most of the states in which we operate. Technically and practically, we represent our college clients, not the insurance company that may underwrite a particular policy.

The vast majority of our business is dedicated to student medical and sports accident coverage. However, we also provide a variety of other individual products for college students, including: Short Term Medical, Major Medical, International Student Medical, DMO Dental Plans, Eye Care, Personal Property, and Travel Abroad Coverage.

Our clients tend to be on the leading edge of the economics of the health care environment and design.
