Except in cases of emergency, you should always visit your school's Student Health Services first.

In general, when visiting a physician outside of you Student Health Services you should present your id card. (You should first check to see if you are visiting a participating provider). In most cases the physician's office will bill your insurance directly. In many cases you will have to pay a co-pay at the time of your visit, and in some plans you may have to pay a deductible before coverage begins.
